Life at times can be hard. We may struggle with feelings of sadness, low-self worth and depression. We may be plagued with worries abut other people, about ourselves, our relationships or our work. We may feel stuck in patterns that we seem unable to change, no matter how hard we want to. These patterns may be in our emotions, our behaviors, our thoughts, or in how we interact with other people.
Sometimes life seems "OK" but we may feel that there is something missing, some passion, energy, joy or happiness.
Psychotherapy can help with such concerns.
I specialize in working with:
  • People with a scientific or technical background. As a former scientist (my first career was in biophysics and biotechnology) I am particularly adept at working with Silicon Valley professionals, especially those who are experiencing stress or feel stuck in their life and want to change.
  • People who struggle with living in more than one culture. My cultural roots are American, French and Vietnamese. Given my international cultural experience I can offer my unique perspective to individuals and families who are faced with the challenges of being in two or more cultures. I help not only Asians and Asians Americans, but also international students, professionals, and people who have moved from one country to another.
  • Furthermore, I especially enjoy working with individuals who come from a strong religious or spiritual background, who are seeking to live life more fully and want a place where their beliefs are respected. (See Spirituality & Religion )
